I admit I was also a bit surprised that she would want to run around shooting and pillaging in a game.
But in an effort to broaden my perspective, I asked her to show me her favorite game.

I used to look at this medium as mindless violence, and maybe it used to be at some point. It has evolved though, and my niece told me how the storytelling in games rivals movies and books.
Judging from the scenes she showed me, I can believe it! Angel number 1313 is a reminder to not let the biases that others hold sway you.
You can even try to show others why it is that you want to be the way that you choose. Show people the merits of your interests, and they may start to see it.
I won’t ever be into video games myself, but I can totally see the appeal now. It’s not just about your interests though, as any aspects of your identity can be shared and explained.
Don’t let people bully you into being someone you aren’t, but also try not to react to adversity with aggression and anger. This is a number that inspires empathy and understanding, not hostility.

To someone from my age group, it can seem scary, weird and even insulting. There can be an aversion to change that you may not even be able to explain if pressed.

I’m not saying that you need to condone every thing on the planet, but your angels do want you to be more empathetic.
You can’t expect people to be empathetic of your differences if you won’t extend the same courtesy.
If someone has a lifestyle you don’t approve of but they’re not hurting themselves or anyone else, then maybe let go of your anger.
Instead of lashing out at someone for being different, why not try to learn more about them? 1313 is about embracing yourself and others.
Your angels want unity in the world, and it’s an ideal that’s worth striving for. If you’ve alienated yourself from someone because they’re different, why not try to reach out?
Again, it doesn’t mean adopting and even loving every idea. Even though the example with my niece was a mild example, it’s still something that can apply to many situations.
I won’t magically become a gamer from hearing the perspective of someone who is, but I love to see that my niece is passionate about it and I enjoy learning more about where that passion comes from.
You can do the same, and if you extend that courtesy then people will be more willing to do it for you as well.
