As I touched on before, change isn’t always easy. Sometimes, a change can be so positive from every single angle that it isn’t a hard transition, but most times, change is a bit intimidating.
We all settle into our comfortable bubbles in life, but the interesting thing is that sometimes that bubble is made of things that are not ideal.
This is how you can find yourself in an unhappy state of life but not do anything about it.
I have seen people in relationships that have grown completely stale and unpleasant, but they stay in it because it’s all they know.
It’s the same for work, living situations or anything else. Recently, my sister had an issue where her landlord got some dogs that barked and woke her up a lot.
This was on top of the fact that her landlord liked to have loud parties late into the night, which was really affecting her sleep and work schedule.
I asked her if she would consider moving, as she had other problems at this place as well. She said that she could, but it was such a hassle and she was comfortable where she was.
Moving elsewhere would get her quiet and probably even save her money, but she preferred to stay in this environment.
This is because even though it was becoming a negative environment, it was known.
It can be scary going into a new situation or starting something new. Even if you want to do something fun like join an art class or book club, you’ll likely be nervous the first time, as you don’t know what to expect.
